What's in a name?

I met a woman tonight. She lives in the USA. I found her absolutely refreshing. She blogs and I decided to check out her blog...

There was a name identity thingy that she had downloaded. I put my name in.
Those of you who know me...
What do you think?

What RoRo (insert my real name for those of you who know - but please don't share) Means
You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.
You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous.
You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.
Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.
You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.
You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.
You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.
You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.
You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

An Excerpt from A Minute of Margin by Dr. Swenson

My Sweet Daughter-in-Love visited for 2 weeks
I love her

I found this in an e-mail I wrote to someone several years ago...
Isn't God good?
Sharing these thoughts with you.
May your heart be His today.

To have accepted the love of God is to be armed and disarmed at the same time. No weapon is more powerful. But in using such a weapon it is the user who is broken wide-open. This is the love that cannot rightly be kept in -- it is a bursting-binds to others, it heals, it knits hearts, it builds community, and it brings everything together in perfect unity.

Love is the only medicine I know of that, when used according to directions, heals completely yet takes one's life away. It is dangerous; it is uncontrollable; and it can never be taken on any terms but its own. Yet as a healer of the emotions, it has no equal.

Love is the currency of the relational life. In the relational life, we spend love and receive love. That was God's idea from the beginning. It is what He taught us, and it was what He showed us. God wants us to spend love freely, even generously.

Some guard their supply of love, doling it out in portions. But this kind of thinking works with money, not with love. With money, the more you hoard the richer you become. But with love, the more you spend the richer you become.

As you can see, love is not like other resources. There is infinite supply. You can use it and use it, yet there will still be more left over. As a matter of fact, the more it is used, the more its Love supply increases. We spend love and receive love. When we do, everyone becomes rich. It is God's transcendent economics.

Somehow we just can't wrap our minds around this idea of love. We can't nail it down and say, "There, I've got you." Love is weak yet tough, vulnerable yet strong. It chooses to lose but can never be beaten. It puts itself last, yet always leads the way. It is mysterious, yet it came in flesh and stood before us. It is death -- yet it is life.

Must we love? That is a nonsensical question. It is like asking, "Must we breathe?" No, we do not have to breathe, and no, we do not have to love. But the consequences of both those decisions will be the same.

RX Invest in love. Yield to love. Be transformed by love. Allow nothing to stand in the way of your commitment to love. Don't use overload as an excuse, and don't spend your last moments on earth apologizing for your life. Set love in order, beginning today.

Where there is love there is no darkness. Burundi Proverb
