"God does not send us into the dangerous and exacting life of faith because we are qualified; He chooses us in order to qualify us for what He wants us to be and do." Eugene Peterson -- Welcome to a blogging of this process!

2 moravian missionaries mix
This was on one of my missionary co-laborer's blog. Thank you Brandon and Jenny for your service, your sacrifice, for loving Him in this way. They are not with the same mission organization or in the same part of the world. I have known him since he was a kid. Now he and his wife serve in South America.
It was so powerful I had to share. I take up this cry. Use this mutating missionary for Your Glory, please Jehovah. I enter into the new adventure of more years in a foreign land with You alone as my goal.
May we stay the course. Please pray for all those that leave their homes and families. This is not a game we are playing...We are playing for keeps. The keeping of the Gospel of Jesus - the mighty God, the mystery of the Holy Trinity.

God has rejected the cross in the resurrection. Why must we keep putting Jesus up there and forgetting that he walked our cross up the steps through Jerusalem so that we no longer had to.
Certainly the cross of love of neighbor and of God must be borne, but why is it that you go searching to give up what God has placed in your life? Would God have not listened to the slaves who had never heard of Jesus? God's character is not that evil. Therefore these Moravians sold themselves into slavery to justify the evil works of the slaveholder. They should have condemned him for holding slaves rather than supported such a heinous system as slavery by selling themselves just to tell these people about Jesus who would have saved them anyway.
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
Basically you are asking a question that I am not willing to debate - Why? you might ask. Because those that are much more astute than I have debated them for years. I do not desire to debate these questions that are not salvation questions. I desire unity. However, the great commission cannot be denied. It is God's job to decide who is saved, how that is done and when... it is our job to GO! When one is called to go and they do not Go - they are acting/living in disobedience. I know for myself to live in disobedience is not where I want to live. I have done that before, gone my own way, determined for myself my end, closed my world into 'my world' - I will to obey. He called me to go. I must stand before Him on 'that day' and so I must go. I would imagine that these men understood that same calling. There is a song that I have on this blog entitled 'Don't Let me Go'... one of my favorite lines in the song: teach me to love to obey. I really want to learn to LOVE to obey. Trust and Obey - it comes down to that.
